US DOT 75-mile Exemption Removed 02/01/10
The MLA was advised by our contact from the MD Division of FMCSA to notify our MLA Membership. In short, the 75 mile rule NO LONGER applies. ( I have attached a doc with all FMCSA info.) ANYONE operating a 9 to 15 passenger vehicle (including driver) MUST have a Medical Card. Also keep in mind the vehicles weight. ANY vehicle over 10,001 MUST be CDL Certified! (Makes no difference what the passenger capacity is.) Just as the driver MUST have a CDL w/ passenger endorsement! I suggest that you save a copy of this information and post for all!
